Well-being and learning - Secondary

The emotional wellbeing of the children in school has a direct effect on their learning and achievement. This course demonstrates how to augment emotional wellbeing in vulnerable children and how best to manage their specific needs within a school setting. The course focusses on the needs of children who are in care but also highlights the difficulties faced by some children who have been adopted.  This course is recommended for teachers with responsibility for looked after children, but is also suitable for NQTs, experienced teachers and support staff.

Delegates should understand how education with empathy impacts on the emotional wellbeing of the child and how boosting resilience promotes educational achievement.
